American Airlines flights resumed Tuesday evening after a technology outage triggered a nationwide FAA ground stop for the carrier. The order held American Airlines aircraft that had not departed, while flights already in the air were not affected. The disruption lasted less than an hour before the airline said connectivity for some systems was coming back online and departures restarted. The FAA later scaled back the advisory, and American Airlines apologized to customers for the interruption.
