BTS said all seven members will not submit new music, including comeback album “Arirang,” for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, the 69th ceremony scheduled for Feb. 7. RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook posted matching Instagram statements saying they hoped their music would be heard on its merits rather than divided by region or language. The decision followed the Recording Academy’s addition of Best Asian Pop Music Performance among five new Grammy categories. Grammy CEO Harvey Mason jr. said he was saddened by the withdrawal and said the new category was meant to recognize Asian pop, not sideline K-pop artists.
