What happened

Ken Urker, Gypsy Rose Blanchard's partner, was found dead at a home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Thursday evening, his 34th birthday. Blanchard and Urker had an on-and-off relationship that began while she was in prison for helping arrange the 2015 killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. They reunited in 2024 and shared a young daughter, Aurora, born in late 2024. Blanchard told People that Urker died of an overdose, but the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office has not confirmed a cause. She said she was shocked and asked for privacy for their daughter and families. Deputies responded around 6:15 p.m., found no evidence of foul play, and are investigating.
