How the left told it

The Daily Beast called the trailer “confusing,” while AlterNet labeled it “baffling” and Joe.My.God. called the movie a “box office bomb.” The Verge focused more straightforwardly on the release date and episode descriptions.
How the right told it
Right-leaning outlets generally emphasized the new footage and Melania Trump’s roles as mother and first lady. The Daily Caller highlighted her comments about Barron, while Breitbart highlighted her criticism of the media and the film’s opening success. The Daily Mail and Washington Times also noted that the film failed to recover its costs.
