Cadillac, in partnership with General Motors, has been approved to join Formula 1 as the 11th team in the 2026 season. Former champion Mario Andretti will serve as a director on the board. The team plans to use Ferrari engines for its first two years before introducing its own Cadillac engine by 2028. Andretti expressed excitement about enhancing F1's U.S. presence, targeting one experienced driver and one young American talent to launch the team.
