Overview
Netflix will stream five regular-season NFL games and the NFL Honors through 2029, the company announced during its upfront presentation to advertisers.
The expanded slate includes the NFL's first-ever regular-season game in Melbourne, a Thanksgiving Eve contest, two Christmas Day matchups and a Week 18 Saturday game.
Hans Schroeder, the NFL's executive vice president of media distribution, said Netflix's reach made the expansion a "tremendous opportunity," and the Department of Justice has inquired about streaming migration from free TV.
Netflix's coverage will be available in more than 200 countries, and the five-game package expands on two Christmas Day games the streamer carried since 2024.
The Week 1 game will stream Sept. 10 in the U.S., the Thanksgiving Eve game is Nov. 25, the full Christmas schedule will be released Thursday evening, and season three of Quarterback debuts July 14, Netflix said.
