Jackson, Mississippi, police arrested and charged 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff with murder in the death of Tasia Fortune after the state medical examiner ruled it a homicide. Fortune, a 29-year-old Black woman, was found Aug. 3 hanging from a tree outside an abandoned house in Jackson.
