Overview
Vice President-elect JD Vance had a long-planned minor sinus surgery at George Washington Hospital on Friday. Spokesman William Martin confirmed Vance will return to work tomorrow. Earlier that day, he participated in a Senate swearing-in ceremony and congratulated new senators. Vance, 40, is set to become the youngest vice president since Richard Nixon. He has yet to announce his resignation date from the Senate, with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine expected to appoint a temporary replacement until a special election is held in November.
