President Donald Trump threatened on Truth Social to back a primary challenger to Rep. Lauren Boebert after she campaigned for Rep. Thomas Massie.
Boebert campaigned with Massie at events in Shelby and Oldham counties ahead of the May 19 Kentucky Republican primary, where Trump has endorsed retired Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein.
Boebert wrote on X that she was not mad and would remain "America First...MAGA," and Massie told Fox News the threat carried no real weight because Colorado's filing window had closed.
Boebert is running unopposed in the June 30 GOP primary, and a Quantus Insights survey showed Gallrein leading Massie 53%-45%.
Trump said he would withdraw his endorsement of Boebert if the right person ran and urged supporters to back Gallrein in the May 19 primary.
