Rep. Max Miller will remain the Republican nominee in Ohio’s 7th Congressional District after Ohio Republicans’ Monday 4 p.m. deadline to name a replacement passed without his withdrawal. Miller’s ex-wife, Emily Moreno, daughter of Sen. Bernie Moreno, has accused him of domestic violence involving her and their daughter; Miller denies the allegations and has not faced criminal charges related to them. Several Republicans have urged Miller to leave the race, including Sen. Jim Banks, who said he should drop his bid and resign if the allegations are true. Miller ran unopposed in the May 5 GOP primary and faces Democrat Brian Poindexter in November.
