Alabama, Oklahoma and Tennessee executed Jeremy Williams, Carlos Cuesta-Rodriguez and Darrell Hines by lethal injection Thursday, the first time since 2010 that three U.S. executions occurred in one day. Williams, 42, was put to death in Alabama for the 2021 rape and murder of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland. Oklahoma executed Cuesta-Rodriguez, 70, for murdering his common-law wife, Olimpia Fisher, in 2003, and Tennessee executed Hines for killing a motel maid in 1985.
