U.S. envoy Jared Kushner met for four hours Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, but Israel gave no firm commitment to a U.S.-backed 15-point plan for Gaza. Netanyahu told Kushner the IDF would not withdraw until Hamas disarms, and Kushner said reconstruction would not proceed until Hamas gives up its weapons. A senior Israeli official said they agreed Hamas’s weapons handover should be overseen by an American general. Kushner met Hamas leaders in Egypt the day before, while President Trump said Israel should stop striking Gaza.
