President Donald Trump is set to speak on both nights of the Republican National Committee’s first-ever Midterm Convention in Dallas, including the opening-night keynote on Wednesday and closing remarks the following night. Vice President JD Vance is also on the speaker roster, while Senate Majority Leader John Thune is not scheduled to deliver a convention speech. A survey of battleground Republican candidates found only two confirmed plans to attend. The RNC is warning Republicans in tough November races against distancing themselves from Trump.
