Trump Threatens Bombardier Ban

President Donald Trump said Monday that Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier can no longer sell planes in the United States unless it manufactures them there. In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote, “NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES,” and said companies seeking access to the U.S. market “must build here.” Trump said more than 50% of Bombardier’s revenue comes from the United States. The threat came before Canada’s 15% to 50% counter-tariffs on nearly US$20 billion in U.S. goods take effect Tuesday in response to Washington’s 50% tariffs.
