The reporting
Texas Democratic U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico said Wednesday that biological sex is “obviously” two, not six, and that transgender student-athletes should not compete in girls’ sports when safety or fairness is at risk. The comments reversed positions he took as a Texas House member, including opposition to restrictions on trans athletes and prior remarks defending trans Texans. Republican nominee Ken Paxton attacked Talarico at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, saying Democrats wanted to “transition your kids” and urging voters to send Talarico “right out of Texas.”

False moderationLeans Right
James Talarico is not the moderate he presents himself to be. His record, staffing choices, and reversal on transgender issues show a progressive gender-politics agenda that he is now trying to hide for political advantage.
