A Hong Kong court sentenced Tiananmen vigil organizers Chow Hang-tung, Lee Cheuk-yan and Albert Ho to prison terms of seven years and three months, seven years, and five years, respectively. The three were convicted last month of inciting others to subvert state power under Hong Kong’s Beijing-imposed national security law. They were former leaders of the now-dissolved Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, which organized annual Hong Kong vigils for victims of Beijing’s 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown.
