President Trump Addresses UN

President Trump told the United Nations that he has a “big decision” to make on Iran: reach a deal that lets it rebuild or “annihilate” the Islamic Republic. He urged other countries to help enforce complete economic isolation until Iran stops shipping attacks, abandons nuclear ambitions and ends support for terror. The speech came during the nearly seven-month U.S.-Iran war, which has disrupted shipping and energy routes through the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea. Trump also defended his wider foreign policy, saying the United States was “back.” Cuban delegates, and in some accounts Iranian delegates, walked out after Trump denounced their governments. Afterward, Trump said U.S. officials held a very good three-hour meeting with Iranian delegates, with another meeting planned soon.
