What happened

Trump posted that Fox News was giving too little attention to his recent rallies and warned that he and his supporters would stop watching unless the network covered them more. Fox News is a conservative network, and Trump has urged its viewers to boycott it before, making the threat part of a recurring fight over its coverage of him. Trump said Fox should show the rallies because they demonstrate strong Republican enthusiasm, and accused it of giving Democrats and commentator Jessica Tarlov too much airtime. He said Fox leadership fired Maria Bartiromo after complaints; Bartiromo’s attorney disputed that she was fired. Fox had aired an Ohio segment shortly before, focused on AI data centers. Trump warned Fox could lose viewers and fall toward CNN-like ratings if it kept its approach.

How each side covered it

From the left

Left-leaning outlets framed Trump’s post as a demand for praise from an ally, emphasizing pressure rather than a routine media complaint. Daily Beast cast him as turning on friendly media for not “fawning” enough, while lingering on empty seats and early departures that undercut his rally boasts. Raw Story centered Trump’s warning that Fox could lose business if it kept its course.
