The Chicago Bears acquired All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans. Chicago also received a 2028 fifth-round pick, while Tennessee got the Bears’ 2027 and 2028 first-round picks and a 2027 fourth-round pick. The Bears entered the deal 5-2 and chasing a Super Bowl run, but their defensive line had been a concern. The Titans were 1-6 and rebuilding, making the first-round picks key future draft capital. Bears coach Ben Johnson said he and general manager Ryan Poles had discussed the roster’s needs. Simmons, a four-time Pro Bowler, had four sacks through seven games. He could debut Monday night at Seattle.
