The reporting
Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed at least 11 people Saturday, the highest reported toll since a June 20 truce between Israel and Hezbollah began. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said a strike on a home near Ansar killed seven people, including three children, and wounded two; a second strike in Deir al-Zahrani killed four and wounded 17. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the attacks and rejected Israel’s claim that it targeted Hezbollah militants. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the strikes responded to an earlier Hezbollah attack on Israeli personnel.
