The reporting
Paramount Skydance accused Mark Ruffalo of invoking antisemitic tropes after the actor criticized David and Larry Ellison, Oracle and the company’s proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery over ties to Israel’s war in Gaza. Ruffalo responded on X that the accusation was “appalling and fundamentally dishonest,” saying criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu, military technology contracts or executives is not criticism of Jewish people. The Anti-Defamation League, Simon Wiesenthal Center and Creative Community for Peace also condemned Ruffalo’s comments. The dispute comes as Paramount faces mediation with California Attorney General Rob Bonta over the merger.
