The reporting
A Las Vegas jury convicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis, 63, of first-degree murder in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur, the first conviction in the case nearly 30 years after the rapper was shot. Davis was found guilty of murder with use of a deadly weapon and intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang. Jurors deliberated for about three hours after a weekslong trial focused on prosecutors’ allegation that Davis orchestrated the Sept. 7, 1996 drive-by shooting. Davis faces a possible life sentence at sentencing Oct. 13.
