What happened

RJ Mitte, the actor and disability-rights advocate, died Monday in Brownsville, Texas, at age 34. Brownsville police and Cameron County Justice of the Peace Cyndi Hinojosa said no cause had been determined or disclosed, while Bryan Cranston said Mitte died by suicide. Mitte was best known for playing Walter White Jr., the son of Cranston’s character, across all five seasons of Breaking Bad. He had cerebral palsy, as did his character, and used his public platform to push for disability inclusion. Cranston mourned him as his “sweet son,” and Aaron Paul said he was heartbroken. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, an autopsy will be performed, and police do not suspect foul play.
