The reporting
The human-caused Hawk Fire grew to more than 15,000 acres near Reno on Sunday and remained uncontained, prompting authorities to urge nearly 90,000 residents to evacuate as flames pushed toward northwest neighborhoods. Gov. Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency in Washoe County; evacuation zones included nearly 14,000 homes and expanded to the edge of the University of Nevada campus. At least six people — three first responders and three civilians — were injured, and homes and other structures were destroyed in the fire area.
