The reporting
Judge William Sullivan declined Thursday to remove a juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial after the jury foreperson reported that one panelist was refusing to follow instructions on reasonable doubt. The jury, split 11-1 according to courtroom statements, was sent home without a verdict after more than 35 hours of deliberations and is due back Friday. Sullivan re-instructed jurors on reasonable doubt after previously giving a Tuey-Rodriguez, or “dynamite,” charge. Clancy, 36, admits strangling her three children but argues she is not guilty by lack of criminal responsibility.

A single juror is wrongly preventing Lindsay Clancy from being acquitted. That juror is allegedly disregarding the reasonable-doubt instructions because they are determined to convict her.
