NYT Games Executive Killed

Prosecutors charged Jonathan McKinsey’s in-laws, Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen, both 77, with murder after police said they deliberately shot the New York Times Games engineering executive outside Dublin Sports Grounds in California. The charges also include conspiracy, firing a gun dangerously, and child endangerment, and both were held without bail. McKinsey and his wife, Candice Jang, were in a divorce and custody fight with dueling restraining-order claims. Jang accused McKinsey of abusing her and their children, while McKinsey accused Jang and her parents of anti-LGBTQ abuse tied to his transition. Authorities have released few shooting details beyond saying McKinsey was targeted. A court hearing is next.
