The reporting
Iran and Oman have agreed on geographic coordinates for a commercial shipping corridor through the Strait of Hormuz and are finalizing a joint framework, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Wednesday. Tehran said the arrangement would regulate transit but would not by itself fully reopen the waterway. Diplomats described the proposal as temporary, with a possible 60-day period for Oman and Iran to manage passage. President Donald Trump said a reopening deal could be announced imminently, while Iran denied direct negotiations with the US.
