The reporting
Iran’s parliament is considering a draft plan to bar U.S., Israeli and other “hostile” ships from the Strait of Hormuz and charge other commercial vessels tolls of up to 7% of cargo value until Tehran is compensated for war damage. The strait carries about one-fifth of the world’s oil and LNG. U.S. officials rejected any limits on freedom of navigation as the Trump administration pursues talks with Tehran. Iran’s top Revolutionary Guard commander said Tehran would keep working on nuclear weapons while the United States and Israel possess them.

Firm Iran PressureCenter & Right
Trump needs to hold a hard line against Iran instead of letting Tehran stall, distract, or test his resolve. He should keep the focus on the nuclear threat and back his ultimatums with enforcement rather than repeat past red-line failures.
