The reporting
The U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding signed in June expired Monday without a peace deal or extension, leaving the ceasefire framework and nuclear talks unresolved. President Donald Trump rejected extending the 60-day arrangement, said Iran should put up a “white flag of surrender,” and claimed informal contacts with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Trump also threatened to bomb Oman if it “gets in the way” and again floated making the Strait of Hormuz U.S. territory. Iran denied IRGC back-channel talks and said it could shift to offense; Brent topped $90.
