The reporting
House Democratic leaders asked the caucus’s Committee on Caucus Rules to review possible action after Reps. Jared Golden of Maine and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington voted Tuesday for a Republican procedural rule. Their votes helped GOP leaders advance messaging bills that had been on track to fail, including a measure condemning socialism and the Democratic Socialists of America. Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called the vote a breach of trust and said committee removals were not ruled out. No punishment was announced after the panel met Wednesday.
