Adam Telle Named Acting Army Secretary

President Donald Trump named Adam Telle acting Army secretary on Thursday, effective immediately, replacing Dan Driscoll after his resignation as the Army’s top civilian leader. Telle is the assistant secretary of the Army for Civil Works, a role overseeing public engineering, Army infrastructure projects and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Driscoll gave no public explanation for leaving, but his exit followed reported clashes with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over Army leadership and modernization. Hegseth has privately favored chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell for the permanent job, while Trump has not announced a shortlist.
