The reporting
Missouri asked the U.S. Supreme Court to let it use new congressional districts backed by President Donald Trump in the November midterm election. Attorney General Catherine Hanaway filed an emergency appeal seeking to pause a Missouri Supreme Court ruling that blocked the map. The state court ordered Missouri to use its prior congressional map and put the new boundaries to a statewide vote in November. State officials said reverting maps after more than 1 million voters cast primary ballots under the new districts would disrupt federal election administration.
