One year after Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025, a Utah judge found probable cause for Tyler Robinson to stand trial on aggravated murder and six other charges. At a Dallas GOP midterm convention, Republicans memorialized Kirk as Turning Point USA activists pointed to Vice President J. D. Vance as Donald Trump’s political successor. The anniversary also brought reported campus celebrations and “look-alike contests,” harassment of Hunter Kozak, who debated Kirk before the shooting, and persistent online conspiracy theories.
