Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, at the “Surprise and Shine” event, pricing the book-style device from $1,999 with a 7.6-inch display when opened. The launch was new CEO John Ternus’ first major keynote after replacing Tim Cook on Sept. 1, and Apple positioned the iPhone as its central AI-era device. Apple also introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with an A20 chip and a 48-megapixel variable-aperture camera. The event added AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, while Apple raised existing iPhone prices by $100.
