Nepal Floods Kill 900

Rescuers in Nepal are trying to reach more than 900 missing hydropower workers, with hundreds feared trapped in mud-filled tunnels beneath 12 projects after last week’s flash floods along the Nepal-China border. The reported death toll has risen to 955 across Nepal and China, and officials list 4,471 people unaccounted for. Crews have used explosives to blast into hillsides and pumps to clear tunnels; the Nepali Army said 350 workers and locals were rescued from a Rasuwa Hydropower Project tunnel. Among the missing are about 80 Americans and 43 Australians.
