President Donald Trump signed orders banning imports of some Canadian dairy products, most alcoholic beverages and motorcycles, with the restrictions set to take effect Sept. 29. The White House said the bans answer Canadian retaliatory tariffs on roughly $20 billion in U.S. goods that took effect Tuesday. Canada’s duties range from 15% to 50% across hundreds of products after Washington imposed 50% tariffs on about $20 billion in Canadian goods. Trump also directed agencies to exclude Canadian products from a federal contracting program worth more than $50 billion annually.
