HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says the cyclosporiasis outbreak is “under control,” though the FDA says the exact contamination source remains under investigation. The FDA withdrew a Cyclospora-positive test on Taylor Farms de Mexico iceberg lettuce as a false positive, but traceback and outbreak data still focus on Taylor Farms shredded iceberg lettuce. Taylor Farms recalled lettuce shipped to 27 states, and Taco Bell will stop using the supplier after illnesses were linked to some restaurants in five states. The CDC has confirmed 1,645 domestic cases in 34 states, with at least 141 hospitalizations and no deaths.
