What happened

Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on House Oversight, opened an investigation into Donald Trump Jr.’s relationship with Umar Kremlev and requested records from Trump Jr. and the White House. Kremlev, president of the International Boxing Association and an ally of Vladimir Putin, paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for post-wedding celebrations. Bettina Trump said he hosted two nights as a generous gift and said friendship needs no political motive. President Trump said he had never heard of Kremlev and called it a separate after-party.
