The reporting
House Oversight ranking Democrat Robert Garcia opened an investigation into Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding celebrations after reports that Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev paid for hundreds of thousands of dollars in expenses in the Bahamas in May. Garcia sent letters to the White House and to Trump Jr. seeking records on any financial relationship and warning about possible foreign entanglement. Kremlev, who leads the International Boxing Association and is described as close to Vladimir Putin, was said to have helped cover post-wedding festivities, including a private-island rental. Attorney General Pam Bondi has said a federal investigation is unlikely, while Trump family members have denied any connection to Kremlev.
