Gloria Steinem Dies At 92
The pioneering feminist activist and journalist has died at 92.
Gloria Steinem, the journalist and feminist activist who co-founded Ms. Magazine and became a central figure in the U.S. women’s liberation movement, died Wednesday at her New York City home at 92. Her foundation announced the death Thursday, saying she died peacefully surrounded by loved ones; no cause was given. The foundation said her Upper East Side brownstone on East 73rd Street will become a permanent space for organizing and activism. Public figures including Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle paid tribute.
