Lindsay Clancy Lawyer Seeks Probe

Lindsay Clancy’s defense lawyers asked a judge to investigate the lone juror who voted to convict her, citing alleged cellphone use during deliberations and jury-selection answers. They also moved to dismiss the case, arguing the judge wrongly declared a mistrial instead of replacing juror Michael Desronvil with an alternate. The trial ended with the jury split, after Clancy was charged with murdering her children at their Massachusetts home in January 2023. Her defense said postpartum psychosis made her not criminally responsible; prosecutors said she deliberately sent her husband away to strangle them. Desronvil denies wrongdoing and says he had no doubts, while other jurors have challenged his conduct. A Sept. 29 hearing will decide the next steps.
