Patrick M. Havas, 38, was arrested after authorities said he pushed through a crowd toward Ohio Democratic gubernatorial nominee Amy Acton during her appearance at the Canfield Fair in Mahoning County. Acton’s campaign said the armed man lunged at her and injured multiple people; Mahoning County Democratic Party Chair Chris Anderson said volunteers were knocked to the ground and the suspect had multiple weapons. Acton was not injured, and Havas was booked into the Mahoning County Jail on two assault counts and one disorderly conduct count.
