Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged President Trump in at least two calls Thursday to launch U.S. strikes on Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis after their forces advanced along the Red Sea coast toward a chokepoint. Trump declined, and U.S. officials said the administration has no current plan for direct attacks on the group. Washington is instead providing Saudi Arabia intelligence and targeting assistance and has sent more than 100 advisers. The renewed fighting has killed or wounded more than 1,000 people and displaced tens of thousands.
