Zelenskyy warned that an official U.S. turn toward Russia would be a “historic mistake.” He said U.S. intelligence sharing was interrupted for about three days during Russian ballistic-missile attacks, leaving Ukraine without warnings; Trump said it never stopped. How each side covered it

Left-leaning outlets framed the episode as a risk that Washington was drifting toward Moscow, while still noting Kyiv’s effort to keep talks alive. Salon emphasized concessions to Russia as a threat to Ukraine’s defense. Al Jazeera highlighted Zelenskyy’s message that contact with Washington remained “virtually nonstop”. The Guardian linked the wider fight to a collapsed energy ceasefire.
